#10 (WEEK 5) Play around with online image generators, and getting old in the army.
So, I signed up for the School Library Learning to explore cool Web 2.0 tools awhile back - totally free- and open for others to use. Here is a post for an assignment.
I explored some online image generators. They are fun. I can see using them in the classroom as part of a culminating project.
Here is a poster of my 87 year old father-in-law.
He is holding his old army uniform.

I got a little misty-eyed reading this because my grandparents are so much in the same spot. It breaks my heart to watch my grandfather lose his independence little by little and watch this proud man process what that means. And I'm with Brokaw: our country will be different when the last of these men are gone.
Also, got your comment on my tattoo story. I really appreciate it. It's been an intense journey and it has been very cathartic and healing to share it in a supportive community. Thank you.
Misty eyed? I was outright bawling!
You are a wonderful daughter-in-law. I wish I could say I was the best daughter my dad could have, but that title goes to the youngest daughter. My dad is 83 and still substitute teaching at least 4 times a week. We know that is coming to an end, and he will be sad. The teachers that request him are all teachers he hired, and they are all retiring!
I love the online generators, too. I especially loved the name in lights. Keep having fun on this journey. Amazing how much we learn, isn't it?
i love his name. so cute!
